2026 Volunteer Staff — Fully Confirmed
All volunteer positions for the 2026 IAP2 North American Conference have been filled. Confirmed volunteers have been formally onboarded, registered, and assigned specific roles and shifts.
Only individuals who have received direct confirmation from IAP2 Canada are authorized to participate as conference volunteer staff. No additional or on-site volunteer registrations will be accepted.

We’re almost there!
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the IAP2 North American Conference, taking place October 1–3 in Vancouver and online. Whether you’re joining us virtually as an attendee, speaker, or facilitator, we want to make accessing the conference as simple as possible. Please review the information below before the conference begins.
JOINING AS A VIRTUAL ATTENDEE
1. Log in to PheedLoop

Use the login information sent to your registered email address. If you do not see your login information, please check your spam or junk folder, for the pheedloop welcome email. Pheedloop uses this email address when the system sends you the welcome email with your temporary initial login credential: no-reply@pheedloop.com
2. Find your session
Once logged in, navigate to the session you would like to attend and join directly through PheedLoop. Zoom is integrated directly into the PheedLoop conference platform, there is no separate Zoom link.
JOINING AS A VIRTUAL FACILITATOR OR SPEAKER
1. Log in to PheedLoop using your registered email address:

Navigate to your scheduled session directly through the conference platform. Virtual facilitators will have access to the appropriate facilitator/moderator functions within the embedded Zoom session.
There is no separate Zoom link required.
SPEAKERS & FACILITATORS — PRESENTATION FILES
All presentation materials must be submitted directly to our AV team by September 30th, 12pm PST.

A national moment shaped together
For the first time, IAP2 Canada brings its North American Conference and Gala to British Columbia.
From October 1 to 3, 2026, practitioners, leaders, and changemakers from across Canada and beyond will come together for a powerful moment of connection, learning, and celebration.
This is a shared space shaped by participation. A place where engagement is explored through practice, where perspectives meet, and where the work continues to evolve through those who carry it forward.
The conference takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, grounding this experience in relationship, respect, and ways of knowing that continue to shape how engagement is understood.

Co-Creating the Future of Engagement
The 2026 conference identity, created by Ovila Mailhot, carries this forward through the image of two eagles facing one another. It represents a complete conversation. One where listening carries equal weight to speaking. One where every voice has a place at the table. To bring voices into decisions in ways that are meaningful. To create space for perspectives that are different. To hold dialogue with intention. The strength of engagement lives in that interaction.
Designed for engagement
The experience begins with the IAP2 Canada Gala, an evening of recognition and connection that sets the tone. The conference then continues across two days of programming, bringing together keynote perspectives, applied sessions, and meaningful exchange. Designed for engagement, the experience centers on being in the room, with a virtual option available for access to select sessions. Grounded in current practice, the program reflects how public participation is evolving across sectors, including Indigenous engagement and reconciliation, equity and inclusion, and youth perspectives. Sessions draw on real-world experience, addressing complexity, conflict, and informed decision-making.
