Land acknowledgement

We acknowledge, from coast to coast to coast, the Indigenous people (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) of all the lands that we are on today.

This acknowledgement reaffirms our commitment and responsibility to improving relationships, understanding Indigenous peoples and cultures, acknowledging the impact of residential schools and colonialism on Indigenous families and communities, and moving forward in a spirit of reconciliation.

Accessibility considerations

IAP2 NAC is a digital-first conference, attendees have control over their accessibility with options to increase the font size, adjust contrast, and use screen reader technology. Additionally, all meals have gluten-friendly and vegetarian options.

The conference programming is available in French and English via a live translation app. Translation output options are audio or caption, a listening device can be provided or you can bring your own headphones.

Shaw Centre meets a wide range of codes, standards and accessibility requirements including ramps, doorless entry and automatic door openers, accessible stalls, raised directional tiles and pavers for accessible wayfinding, as well as tactile and braille signage.

Please reach out to us at conference[@]iap2canada.ca if you require any additional accessibility considerations.

IAP2 Spectrum Evolution

Much has changed with engagement practices since the introduction of the Spectrum in 1999. We are conducting a global review to ensure that the Spectrum remains relevant and continues to inform our public participation and engagement practices.

Participation is simple — share your thoughts by completing the survey. This is an opportunity to make your voice heard and influence the future of how engagement is practiced around the world. The survey takes less than 10 minutes on average.
